Dr. Mervin holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from De La Salla Araneta University in the Philippine and a Master degree in Tropical Veterinary Science from James Cook University of North Queensland. 

He has a special interest in anything orthopaedic and is the primary surgeon for orthopaedic cases. He is actively involved in cases such as bone fractures, stifle injuries and patella problems. 

Mervin and his wife, Edina, and daughter, Kiara, and their two doggies, Bindi and Coco, consider Dubbo home and have been in Dubbo since 2014.
